If your passport is from any of the following countries, you are eligible for visa extension of an additional 90 days.

• Austria

• Germany

• Ireland

• Liechtenstein

• Switzerland

• United Kingdom
   

​Step 1: Get the Form

• Pick up the Application for Extension of Period of Stay at the front desk

• Use the sample as a guide to fill it out
   

Step 2: Check Your Form

• Bring the completed form to the front desk

• Staff will confirm everything is correct
   

Step 3: Go to Immigration

• Visit the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau (weekdays, 9:00–16:00)

• Recommended: arrive at 9:00 to avoid long waits

• Tell reception you’re applying for an extension
   

Step 4: Pay the Fee

• Cost: ¥6,000

• Buy revenue stamps at the convenience store on the 1st floor

• Submit stamps to complete your application
   

Step 5: Submit Proof

• You’ll receive a new Landing Permission stamp (pink/blue with Mt. Fuji)

• Show it at the EF front desk or send a photo to the Student Services WhatsApp
